“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude 1:3

KNOW WHY YOU BELIEVE

It’s a simple question isn’t it?  If someone where to ask you, why do you believe in GOD, what do you say?  Or what if they ask you, why they should believe.  What would you tell them.  Can you defend your faith?  Do you know someone who is caught up in deception, a Jehovah’s Witness,  a Mormon, Muslim, or Catholic.  Can you give them the evidence for your faith, and be a witness for Our LORD?

Are you able to explain exactly who Our LORD and Saviour JESUS CHRIST is, and why HE came.  If someone told you that JESUS was just a wise man and not GOD, how would you respond?  Could you explain HIS Deity and attributes?  In short, are you able to articulate in words, wait let’s put this another way, from Scripture:

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.   1 Peter 3:15-16

We are commanded as GOD’s Beloved Children, not just to tell about The Gospel, but to teach as well:

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” AmenMatthew 28:18-20

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.   Mark 16:15

Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.   Luke 24:46-47

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

Whatever job we do in the world, wherever our lives takes us, we are 1st and foremost Children of GOD.  We are commanded to share our faith, to be loving and have compassion for the lost.  Question becomes, why would we not?  Do we not possess knowledge of the greatest gift anyone can receive?  Has not The LORD poured HIS love into our hearts Rom 5:5, in that this love be shared with others.  My sister’s and brothers, we had the remedy for a dying world, and dying people,  Our LORD JESUS.

I know it can be difficult @ times to share your faith, especially now in the world.  But think about it, Our LORD spoke about these days and we see the result of what HE said right before our very eyes.  The Gospel accounts speak to these days, the 2nd and 3rd chapters of 2 Tim, 2nd Peter, 1 John and  Jude.

It is always a bit uneasy to take the initial step, but take that step – of faith.  This section deals with helping you to witness to those who do not know The LORD.  Here you will find instruction, links, and resources to  assist and equip you to be able to alway be prepared for the hope that is in you.  You may even have suggestions that you use as well to share.  But remember, we are only vessels.  In the words of Paul:

So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.  1 Corinthians 3:7-8 NKJV
